A Message From The Principal Mr. Ronnie Retherford |
|
| Welcome to Harrand Creek's web site!! Our school is an extraordinary place where children come first. Harrand Creek is a progressive school that provides quality education in a warm, nurturing environment. Throughout the school year, our students participate in varied classroom and school-wide activities which support our belief in developing the whole child. We strive to provide many opportunities for maximum student achievement while also recognizing the efforts, talents, and successes of our students. Housed in our beautiful facility are competent professionals who are committed to the progress of our students. In addition to our teachers, we have a dedicated support staff. Together we work to achieve the best for children. We believe that close cooperation between home and school is essential in promoting positive attitudes toward learning. We are indeed partners in the important job of educating the children. We welcome and encourage parental involvement and community support. | |

1. Student learning is the chief priority for the school; and students' learning needs are the primary focus of all decisions impacting the work of the school. 2. All students can learn. 3. Students learn in different ways and should be provided with a variety of instructional approaches to support their learning. 4. Students learn best when they are actively engaged in the learning process. 5. Each student is a valued individual with unique physical, social, emotional and intellectual needs. 6. A safe and physically comfortable environment promotes student learning. 7. Cultural diversity can increase students' understanding of different peoples and cultures. 8. The commitment of continuous improvement is imperative if our school is going to enable students to become confident, self-directed, lifelong learners.
